How Many Days Do You Actually Need?

• Five days: Right for travellers whose primary interest is Cairo and the pyramids, and whose leave is limited. Three full touring days in Cairo consistently surprises first-timers.

• Seven days: Our recommendation for most first-time visitors. The Nile cruise brings Egypt's geography and history together in a way that Cairo alone cannot.

• Eight days: For those who want Abu Simbel, Alexandria, or the Red Sea without compromising the pace.

October to April is the most comfortable season for touring. November and March offer the best balance of good weather, thinner crowds, and fair pricing. Book three to four months ahead for peak-season travel.
